Test XML File
Test an XML Operation
an XML operation can either create a new file or update one already existing and it is possible to test this operation prior building the installation package.
In order to execute the test operation the following steps must be taken:
- Select a previously created “XML File”.
- From the context menu select the “Test” item.
- A Windows Installer type dialog will appear.
- On this window push the [Browse ] button to either select an existing XML file for an update operation or specify a new name to create a new XML file. The resulted file will be identical with the one normally obtained after the package installation.
A backup of the original file will be created in the same folder before the update operation takes place if the “Create backup before updating” option is enabled under the “Install” tab of the XML file operation.
